Today we hiked around Arches National Park which is the one I was looking forward to the most. We stayed out late into the night so I could try to get pictures of stars, but even though I did lots of research beforehand it still was really hard. I know that my cheap tripod won't make the cut for star photography now.

What did you photograph today?

I took pictures of a lot of arches and tried to take pictures of the stars.

What did you do to make the trip more than your standard road trip? How have you made it stimulating and productive so far?

The park actually shut off the entrance until the late afternoon so instead we played card games in the parking lot until they let us in. It was fun and we made the best out of a bad situation.

What was the general morale for the day (positive or negative)? Are there any notable trends? Any suggestions to improve morale and create a more positive atmosphere?

The morale was pretty good, there was a few hiccups because of how the park was full but other than that it was pretty great.

What logistical issues were faced today? How were they handled?

There weren't any logistical issues.

Were there any personal issues that came up? If so, how did we take care of it?

No personal issues came up either.

Are there any cultural differences you noticed between where you were today and Ohio?

There were a LOT of jeeps driving around Moab which is different than Ohio because while there are a few, there aren't nearly as high a concentration as in Moab.

Has the excitement for adventure present before the trip maintained itself up to this point?

Yes, it has although it has definitely died down a lot since the beginning.

Have you felt like you have “over-documented” the trip yet? If so, how will you adjust and if not, how will you make sure everyone is focused on living in the present rather than focusing on making physical copies of the memories?

No, I was finally able to attempt to take pictures of stars so it was really fun even though it was still seemingly impossible.

Have you found a Greater Meaning to this experience?

Not anything new, just the same appreciating nature.
