Today we did a few really fun hikes at Capitol Reef national park and then went swimming at our hotel pool.
What did you photograph today?
I took a few pictures around Capitol Reef but not as much as normal. The hikes were pretty complex so I was mostly focusing on that.
What did you do to make the trip more than your standard road trip? How have you made it stimulating and productive so far?
We took time to play in the pool which was really fun.
What was the general morale for the day (positive or negative)? Are there any notable trends? Any suggestions to improve morale and create a more positive atmosphere?
It was very positive and giddy throughout the day. I think our refreshing night yesterday gave us energy and we were reborn today.
What logistical issues were faced today? How were they handled?
No logistical issues today.
Were there any personal issues that came up? If so, how did we take care of it?
There were not personal issues either.
Are there any cultural differences you noticed between where you were today and Ohio?
I have noticed how most towns we drive through don't have cellular connection which is kinda crazy to think about. Usually when I drive around with my parents I am on my phone, but here that wouldn't be possible.
Has the excitement for adventure present before the trip maintained itself up to this point?
I think getting to play in the pool today really kept us happy and excited. It was fun not having to rush anywhere and just relax and hang out.
Have you felt like you have “over-documented” the trip yet? If so, how will you adjust and if not, how will you make sure everyone is focused on living in the present rather than focusing on making physical copies of the memories?
No, today I used my camera very little.
Have you found a Greater Meaning to this experience?
No, not today. It was mostly just about enjoying time with those around us.
