Today I went to the Grand Canyon for the first time! It was super beautiful and I am so happy I was finally able to go. It was a lot prettier than all of the pictures I have seen.

What did you photograph today? How different are the before/after pictures and how does it make you feel?

Today we went to the Grand Canyon and I took a lot of pictures of the walls and my friends. I tried to play around with exposure and different apertures to try to learn more

What did you do to make the trip more than your standard road trip? How have you made it stimulating and productive so far?

We made sure to hike past the rim and we played car games to get to know each other on the drive. Today we also camped but it was very very cold.

What was the general morale for the day (positive or negative)? Are there any notable trends? Any suggestions to improve morale and create a more positive atmosphere?

Everyone was a little disappointed in the weather but it got better and we all ended very happily at the Grand Canyon

What logistical issues were faced today? How were they handled?

We were just very cold today and we all made sure to wear lots of layers.

Were there any personal issues that came up? If so, how did we take care of it?

The only issue was one friend wanted to climb around but me and others kept yelling at him to stop because it was dangerous.

Are there any cultural differences you noticed between where you were today and Ohio?

This area is pretty touristy so there was a mix of lots of languages and cultures

Has the excitement for adventure present before the trip maintained itself up to this point?

Yes, we were all very excited to start the national parks portion of the trip

Have you felt like you have “over-documented” the trip yet? If so, how will you adjust and if not, how will you make sure everyone is focused on living in the present rather than focusing on making physical copies of the memories?

No, not yet

Have you found a Greater Meaning to this experience?

Right now its really nice to appreciate nature and learn how it had all happened
