Today we drove through Oklahoma and Texas. At first it was very nerve-wracking because we had to go through a big storm that lasted almost all of Oklahoma. This caused me to have to skip a few of the pictures that I had planned to take. Once we reached Texas it was sunny and warmer again.

What did you photograph today? How different are the before/after pictures and how does it make you feel?

Today we went into Oklahoma and Texas. I photographed a couple of areas in Texas and it looked exactly the same except now it's rundown. It made me pretty sad because it used to be busy and popular but now it is forgotten because of the highway.

What did you do to make the trip more than your standard road trip? How have you made it stimulating and productive so far?

We have continued to enjoy each others company rather than go on electronics. We also stop whenever we find something interesting or fun instead of focusing on getting to the end

What was the general morale for the day (positive or negative)? Are there any notable trends? Any suggestions to improve morale and create a more positive atmosphere?

The morale was mostly positive in the evening but the morning was very nervous because while driving through Oklahoma there was a huge storm.

What logistical issues were faced today? How were they handled?

The only issue was the weather in Oklahoma and we just drove carefully.

Were there any personal issues that came up? If so, how did we take care of it?

No, nothing came up.

Are there any cultural differences you noticed between where you were today and Ohio?

In Texas there were actually a lot of people wearing cowboy hats and jean outfits which was surprising because I thought it was just a stereotype.

Has the excitement for adventure present before the trip maintained itself up to this point?

By the evening we were all very excited to continue, it was just the morning where it was a little nerve wracking.

Have you felt like you have “over-documented” the trip yet? If so, how will you adjust and if not, how will you make sure everyone is focused on living in the present rather than focusing on making physical copies of the memories?

No, I think I have a good balance.

Have you found a Greater Meaning to this experience?

Right now it’s just interesting to see how different people live their lives in places other than the midwest.
